ABOUT ME
I'm known in the world of cooking as Chef Meenu.
I have my own business teaching cooking and baking classes and I am also a lawyer, entrepeneur and micro influencer on Instagram.
I have been teaching for over a decade now to adults and children.
Since April 2020, I have only been teaching virtually and all over the world too.
Teaching Indian cuisine is my specialty.
My Indian cooking classes entail unpacking the intricate combination of spices that go into each dish, and demonstrating the techniques involved in creating the signature flavors of this cuisine.
I like to cook from a global perspective, and so teach a variety of many cuisines.
I am passionate about sharing my expertise, and simplyfying typically complex fares.
I have worked as a chef at several cooking schools including Sur La Table, Draeger’s and the Jewish Community Center.
I also teach classes through Rockoly, ActivityHero and Thumbtack.
I currently teach sweet and savory cooking classes around the world, every weekday afternon, as well as teaching a group of home schooled children. These classes are a part of the schools after-school programs.
During the summers, I teach cooking camps to kids.
I give back to the community by using my culinary passion and skills to plan a few fundraisers a year to raise money for charities in developing countries. I also donate cooking classes to school auctions.
My global cookbook, Tasteful Travels, is forthcoming this year.
